Follow these 5 professional tips to maintain hair health in Winter!

Here's my review of the steps and products that will help you maintain healthy, moisturized hair and scalp all season long!
1. Wash Your Hair

2. Condition Your Hair

- FOR FINER HAIR: Remember to only apply conditioner from mid shaft to ends ensuring that the scalp will not retain any added oils weighing hair down.
- FOR THICKER/COURSE HAIR TEXTURE: Don't be afraid to add this all over the head! Your hair and scalp need all the moisture it can get. Leave conditioner on for up to 3 minutes, rinse and enjoy your newly hydrated tresses!
3. Take Care of Your Scalp

- Take a small application bottle and fill it with 3/4 full of oil.
- Add 10 -15 drops of tea tree oil in it and mix it well
- Apply this to your scalp and hair
- Massage it gently for few minutes to make oil saturated all over the scalp
- Leave it for few hours or overnight (for better results)
- You will feel some tingling effect on your scalp but don’t worry about it
- Wash your hair with shampoo and apply conditioner.

HOW TO APPLY:
Separate hair into four equal sections. Apply 3–6 drops of Moroccanoil® Dry Scalp Treatment onto scalp around each section. Massage product into scalp and leave on for 5–10 minutes. Comb through, then rinse. Follow with the appropriate Moroccanoil shampoo and conditioner. Use weekly to start and less frequently as condition improves. TIP: For scalps that are sensitive to color, use this product before a color service to protect scalp and eliminate itchiness. Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment also provides soothing relief to tight scalps when hair extensions are being removed.
4. Treat Your Hair
Hair treatments are a great way to treat your hair as well as relax after a long week! The BLO/OUT pros typically use hydrating treatments on our clients that need a hair refresher as well as a little extra luxury and pampering. These conditioning treatments are specifically designed to leave hair feeling soft, manageable, and shiny! They are a great way to the infuse added nourishment that your hair is lacking in the cooler months!
The BLO/OUT pros recommended products are:

FOR USE:

TO USE:
Apply a generous amount of Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask to towel-dried hair and comb through. Leave on for 5–7 minutes and rinse thoroughly. No heat required. Use 1–2 times weekly.
TIP: For deeper conditioning, mix in a few drops of Moroccanoil Treatment when using this hair mask.
5. Humidify Your Hair
A humidifier will help to keep more moisture in the air during those harsh winter months, which in turn will help keep our hair from drying out too fast. I am OBSESSED with humidifiers and personally sleep with one every night for its multiple benefits.
My favorite one is:

I LOVE this product! On nights when I feel like I need to unwind, I add some essential oils like eucalyptus or lavender and it puts me right to sleep! Since using a humidifier, I have noticed that my hair is less brittle, coarse, and dull in the winter months. This thing is worth every penny and will have you and your hair feeling healthier in no time :)
The changes that happen to our hair and scalp in the winter sucks, but one good thing about winter is that styles last so much longer! Gone are the days when doing our hair is pointless because it either falls, or frizzes the second we step foot outside! Winter gives us all the chance to be the lazy girls we truly are and not have to wash our hair as often!
We get to play around with cute hats, our BLO/OUTs last longer, and wearing our hair down is actually possible! Using some of these tips will ensure your hair is shiny, moisturized, and gorgeous for the next few months!
As always, leave a comment below and let me know what you do to fight the elements in the winter :)

If you are anything like me, most times i just throw it up at night and hope my style stays in place for the next day. It very rarely works. If you want your style to stay as fresh as it was on day one there are some steps you need to take to ensure that. With maintenance, a blowout should last anywhere from 3-6 days depending on factors such as weather and the natural oils your scalp produces which is typically the number one killer for gorgeous tresses! In this post, I am going to take you through a full week's worth of maintenance tips with BLO/OUT stylist Jaiza and show you how she kept her locks as beautiful on day five as they were on day one!

Love is in the air for Mix 106.1’s “Chio in the Morning.” In 2014, the veteran on-air personality divorced Shawn, his wife of 25 years. True love prevailed and the couple reunited this year. Chio and Shawn officially got remarried, and two lucky Mix 106.1 listeners brought their fiancés to participate in the ceremony, reception, and a special afternoon with Andy Grammer and Gavin Degraw. The blessed event took place October 19, 2016 live on Fox 29’s “Good Day Philadelphia” officiated by host Mike Jerrick. A Mix 106.1 panel selected the two couples among hundreds who uploaded Instagram videos about why they wanted to tie the knot or renew their vows with Chio.
BLO/OUT Blow Dry Bar was chosen as the exclusive provider of hair and makeup services for the event and we rocked it! Check out the video above and some of the pics below of the event and don't forget to book BLO/OUT's Event Team for your event and wedding beauty services!

With so many amazing lines out there is it possible to have just one favorite? For me the answer is no! I am constantly hunting down the cult classics (like Ubran Decays Naked Palettes, what beauty lover didn't want these when they came out?) or products reviewed by other beauty bloggers to test out.
After some thinking, I finally narrowed my list down to ten products I absolutely could not live without! The products that I am about to review are my go to's for myself as well as my beautiful clients! They're all super versatile and I find work amazing for all skin types and tones. Let's get started...
